What is WoW Arena Logs?

WoW Arena Logs is a free, open-source desktop app for Windows and macOS. You install it once, leave it running, and it watches the combat log World of Warcraft writes to disk. When an arena match starts it records it automatically, and when the match ends it uploads the game to their site. There is nothing to type in-game and nothing to remember. It covers rated 2v2, 3v3 and Solo Shuffle.

What it gives you

A combat log is the raw, second-by-second record of everything that happened in a match. On its own it is an unreadable text file. WoW Arena Logs turns it into something you can actually learn from:

• Automatic, reliable recording. No /combatlog to type and nothing to forget. The numbers come straight from the log file, so they do not get dropped when the game lags the way an in-combat addon sometimes does.
• A permanent match history. Every uploaded game is kept, so you can look back across a whole season instead of trusting your memory of a single night.
• A detailed breakdown of every match. On their site each game becomes a full report: damage and healing per ability, a timeline of casts and cooldowns, and enough detail to review your bursts, defensives and positioning after the fact.
• Your real impact, isolated. Because everything is logged per unit, you can tell your own output apart from a teammate's or a pet's, instead of reading one blended number.

How to set it up

Getting connected takes about two minutes, and only the first step happens off WoW Mate:

   Download and install. Grab WoW Arena Logs from the official website and run the installer for your platform.

   Leave it running. Launch the app before you queue and keep it open in the background. It finds your combat log on its own.

   Play rated arena. Queue 2v2, 3v3 or Solo Shuffle as usual. Each match is recorded and uploaded the moment it ends.

   Find yourself on WoW Mate. We match uploaded games to your character automatically, no account needed. Look yourself up from the leaderboard and the new sections fill in on their own.

What it unlocks on WoW Mate

Once your matches are uploaded, WoW Mate reads the ones tied to your character and turns them into real WoW arena stats, in profile sections Blizzard's API can never show:

• Composition mastery. Your most-played 2s and 3s comps with real win rates.
• Recent matches. A running match history per bracket, with the enemy comp and the result of each game.
• Combat performance. A read on how you actually play: interrupts, crowd control, burst and survivability, measured per game.

That is the short version on purpose. The idea is simple: the more you upload, the more your profile reflects how you really play.

Is it safe?

Yes. WoW Arena Logs only reads the combat log that World of Warcraft writes to your disk, the exact same file every logging site uses. It never touches your account, your password or your Battle.net login, it does not automate anything in-game, and it does not read the game's memory. Only public gameplay data leaves your machine, and only for the matches you upload.
